BC Hydro is committed to meeting its obligation to consult and accommodate Aboriginal groups, where appropriate. Consultation and engagement with Aboriginal groups about Site C began in 2007 and is continuing through the construction period.
Site C will produce among the lowest lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions, per gigawatt hour, compared to other forms of electricity generation – and significantly less than fossil fuel sources.
